Adult Pine Wood Derby Entry - Canal Campout

This ticket gets you ONE car entry to the Pinewood Derby May 2, 2026 at the Canal Campout. Official Rules are below. If you are in need of the car kit then choose the Entry + Car kit ticket and you can pick up your car kit at camping check in. There will be tools to create your cars on location throughout the day Saturday. Any and all use of tools is at your own risk. 

Car Specifications

• Length: Maximum 7 inches
• Width: Maximum 2 3/4 inches
• Height: Typically not exceeding 4.5 inches to ensure track clearance
• Weight: Maximum 5 ounces; weights must be securely attached and recessed to avoid track interference
• Wheelbase: 1 3/4 inches between wheels; 3/8 inch clearance underneath the body to prevent rubbing on the track
• Materials: Cars must be made from the official BSA Pinewood Derby kit; no other woods or materials for the body are allowed. 
• Wheels and axles must also be official BSA parts. 
• Wheels may not be cut, drilled, beveled, or reshaped, though seams and imperfections can be removed

Axles and Lubrication

• Axles may be polished and lubricated, but only powdered graphite or silicone is allowed; liquid lubricants are prohibited
• Cars must be free-wheeling with no starting devices or springs
• Loose materials inside the car are not allowed
